The #1 question, answered honestly

Will a metal card work like my normal card?

Short version: yes for chip insert, no for tap, and swipe is optional. Here’s exactly what that means so you buy the right card the first time.

Chip insert works

Move your real chip onto the metal card and insert it at any ATM or terminal worldwide — exactly like your normal card.

Tap does not work

Solid metal blocks the contactless signal. If you need tap-to-pay, choose one of our dedicated Tap to Pay cards built with an antenna.

Swipe is up to you

The magnetic stripe ships blank — we never see or copy your card. You can program it yourself later if you want swipe.

Payments & How It Works

Yes — by chip insert. After you move the working EMV chip from your existing card onto the metal one, you insert it into any ATM or terminal exactly like a normal chip card. Nothing about your account, PIN or balance changes — the chip is doing all the work, the steel is simply a premium carrier.
No — and we’ll always be honest about this. A full-metal card cannot tap, because solid metal physically blocks the contactless (NFC) signal. This is true of every solid-metal card on earth, not just ours. If tap-to-pay is essential for you, we make two dedicated Tap to Pay cards with a plastic back panel and a built-in antenna specifically for contactless.
Not by default — but you can enable it. The magnetic stripe ships completely blank. Because we never ask for or see your real card, we can’t copy your stripe data — that’s a privacy feature, not a limitation. The stripe itself is fully functional, so if you want swipe you can program it yourself later using an inexpensive card writer. Most customers never need it, since chip insert is accepted almost everywhere.
It’s your own card. You are not opening a new account or applying for anything. You take the real chip from a card you already have and move it into the metal body. Same bank, same number, same everything — just rebuilt in laser-engraved steel.
No — the engraving is purely cosmetic. Payment is driven 100% by the chip you insert, not by the printed digits. You can engrave your real details, partial details, or entirely made-up numbers — it makes no difference to how the card works. Many customers use fake numbers on purpose for privacy.
Any EMV chip card, any bank, anywhere in the world. The chip transfer works with standard chip cards from any bank globally. If your current card has a chip you can insert at a terminal, it will work in a metal card.
Your existing card details still handle online payments exactly as they did before — the metal card doesn’t change your account or numbers. The metal card itself is for in-person chip-insert payments.
No. Moving your own chip into a new body doesn’t alter your account, card number or banking relationship in any way. Your bank sees the same chip making the same transactions. Millions of people carry metal cards this way.

Ordering & Customization

Before we engrave anything, our designers create a free digital proof — an exact preview of how your finished card will look. You review it, request any changes, and only once you approve does production begin. You see precisely what you’re getting before a single laser touches the steel.
Absolutely. Add your name, initials, a company logo, your signature, or upload your own artwork or a photo of your existing card. Our Customize Your Own range is built exactly for this. If you can imagine it, we can usually engrave it — and you’ll approve the proof first.
Yes. Send a clear photo of your existing debit or credit card and we’ll rebuild that design in solid metal. You choose whether to keep the real numbers or swap in different ones — remember, the engraving is cosmetic and the chip does the paying.
We offer a wide range including Matte Black, Gold, 24K Gold, Silver/Platinum, Mirror Chrome, Brass, Carbon Fiber and Blue — depending on the design. Not sure which suits you? Our finish guide breaks down the vibe of each one.
Pick a design (or the Customize Your Own option), choose your finish, and add your details or upload artwork at checkout. We then send your free proof for approval before production. The whole thing takes just a few minutes to start.
No problem at all — that’s the entire point of the proof stage. Request as many revisions as you need until it’s exactly right. Nothing is engraved, and you’re never locked in, until you’re happy.
We never take your original card. Ever. Your card stays in your hands the whole time. We only ever craft the metal body — you move your own chip across yourself at home. This is one of the most important privacy protections we offer.
Yes — order as many as you like, in any mix of designs and finishes. Metal cards are a popular gift, so ordering several at once is common. Reach out if you’d like help with a larger or corporate order.

Chip Installation

For your privacy and security. We never ask for your real card, so we can’t (and won’t) install your chip for you. You keep full control by transferring your own chip at home — your sensitive card never passes through anyone else’s hands. It also means the metal card can ship to you anywhere in the world with no financial data on it.
Not at all. It takes most people under 20 minutes with basic household items, and we provide a clear step-by-step video tutorial. If you can use a hair dryer and a bit of glue, you can do this.
Just a few common items: your existing chip card, a hair dryer or low heat source, a thin tool like a craft knife or guitar pick, and a drop of B7000 glue (never super glue). Full details are in our chip installation guide.
If a chip is damaged, simply request a replacement card from your bank (usually free or a small fee) and repeat the process with the new chip. The metal card body is unaffected and ready whenever you are.
Yes, though each transfer adds a little wear to the chip. Most people move it once into their metal card and leave it there permanently.
No. Moving your own chip doesn’t change your account or your bank relationship. Your bank can always issue a replacement card if you ever need one.
Chips come in two common shapes — a small rectangle and a larger square. We ask so your metal card’s pre-milled cavity matches your chip perfectly. Just look at your current card and pick the shape that matches.

Materials & Durability

Solid stainless steel — laser-engraved and finished by hand. This isn’t plated plastic or a thin metal sheet; it’s a genuine steel card with real weight and presence.
Never. The design is laser-engraved directly into the steel, not printed on top. It physically cannot fade, peel or rub off the way printed plastic does. Your card looks as sharp in year five as on day one.
Yes — stainless steel is fully waterproof and won’t warp, crack or demagnetize the way plastic cards do.
Standard credit-card dimensions (85.6mm × 54mm), so it fits any wallet, cardholder or terminal exactly like a normal card.
Mirror and high-gloss finishes are stunning but, like any polished metal object, can pick up fine surface marks with heavy daily use. If you want the most scratch-resistant everyday option, matte finishes hide wear best. We’re happy to advise on the right finish for how you’ll use it.
Noticeably heavier than plastic — that satisfying weight is the first thing people notice when they pick it up, and a big part of why metal cards make such an impression.

Trust, Safety & Privacy

Completely. You’re simply moving your own chip into a new card body — something you own, doing it yourself, at home. Nothing about your account or your bank relationship changes.
No, never. We do not ask for, see, touch or store your real card or its data. You keep your original card the entire time and transfer the chip yourself. This is the single biggest reason customers trust us — your financial data never leaves your hands.
Yes. Checkout is encrypted and handled securely, and we treat your personal details discreetly. The engraving you choose can even be fake numbers if you prefer maximum privacy.
We understand the caution — metal cards are a premium purchase. Every order includes a free proof you approve before we make anything, fully tracked worldwide shipping, and a real team you can reach by email or WhatsApp at any point. You’re never paying into a black box.
We’re a specialist brand focused on one thing: premium laser-engraved metal cards done properly. Solid steel (not plated), genuine laser engraving (not print), a free design proof on every order, honest answers about what does and doesn’t work, and a team that actually replies. Cheaper sellers often cut corners on all five.

After You Buy

If anything arrives damaged or not matching the proof you approved, contact us right away with photos and we’ll make it right. You approved the exact look up front, so surprises are rare — but we stand behind our work.
Because each card is custom-engraved specifically for you, please review your free proof carefully before approving — that’s your safeguard. For issues with the product itself, reach out and we’ll help. See our refund policy for full details.
Just watch our step-by-step video tutorial — it walks through the whole process. If you get stuck, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll guide you through it.
Easy — just move the new chip into your metal card the same way you did the first time. The metal body lasts far longer than any single chip, so it’ll outlive multiple bank reissues.
We’re a message away by email or WhatsApp, and we usually reply within hours. Whatever you’re wondering, ask us before you order — we’d rather you buy with total confidence.
